Coutorture

Coutorture's had a redesign, and my, isn't it beautiful. Stylish and simmple. I'll know I'm good when I get featured there.

jellyfish

A couple of site, includingUrban Socialite have been blogging about Jellyfish, a new online magazine that looks a little bit like a cross between Heat and Teen Vogue to me. Anyway, it's designed like a magazine with pages and everything. Lots of people are raving about it, but for me, it stinks. It's slow, clumsy, and doesn't work with the great tools the web has. The celeb gossip is stale, and the fashion's uninteresting. Basically, I won't be back. But feel free to check it out for yourself.

pick me pick me!

Teen Vogue are having a competition looking for a summer intern. I can't imagine anything more fun than working there, although it would mean having to quit my current job since I can't take another 3 week holiday (a month in September is already taken up!). Closing date is 16th April - good luck everyone!

high street prices again

I wrote last week that high street prices for dresses are on the up and up, and it apprears I'm not alone in thinking this. My favourite newspaper, the often-linked-to Guardian has a story about it as well. See, I was right! Unfortunately, it doesn't bring me any closer to getting something short and sparkly for Christmas. Actually, the French Connection dress is currently on my wishlist. It is very cool on as well - just the right length (mid-thigh) and the sequins give it a great weight that just makes you feel insouciant. It's been featured in just about every magazine this season though, so there is a slight ubiquitous feeling about it. Having said that, I've yet to see anyone wearing it. Maybe because it is 130 quid!
